Centrifuge is consist of two rotors, one is drum the other is screw conveyor ( For short spiral). Drum running with High-speed, the drum and slurry will rotate together and by the centrifugal force effect, this centrifugal force is larger than the weight many times, so that solid particles will be separated from the liquid, from the drum axis, then setting on the drum wall, the screw conveyor which located in the drum and rotating at the speed which lower than the speed of drum then push the solid particles to the residue discharge port.
Difference speed between outside drum and screw conveyor depends on the speed of the transmission ratio of differential and its rotation speed.Decanter centrifuge is a mechanical equipment which utilize the principle of centrifugal and sedimentation and can carry out continual separate the suspend liquid with density difference.
